Frequently Asked Questions

What is padel?

Padel is a mix of squash and tennis. It originated in Mexico and spread across Europe via Argentina and later Spain. There are now more than 10 million active players worldwide. The court is smaller than a tennis court (10 x 20 metres) and surrounded by glass walls and mesh fences 3 to 4 metres high, which are used in play similar to squash. It is usually played in doubles (four players), and scoring works like tennis. Padel is very easy to learn and highly entertaining. The racket has a foam core with a sturdy smooth plastic surface. The balls are the same size as tennis balls but slightly slower due to lower air pressure.
